Which Horse Will Win The National Stakes in 2023

The best way to pick which horse will win the National Stakes in 2023 is to take into account their lead-up autumn racing form, assess the barriers, consider the weights and look for the past Morphettville performers.

Additional factors to consider when picking the National Stakes winner include:

  • Lead-Up Races – While many two-year-olds in the National Stakes may be unproven at Black-Type level, looking at lead-up races like the Listed Queen Adelaide Stakes can serve as a nice guide.

National Stakes Favourites 2023

Early favourites in National Stakes betting for 2023 include the Godolphin-raced Heuristic who ran second in the Group 3 Breeders Stakes last start and the Matt Laurie-trained Chilled coming off a Listed win at the track.
